A beautiful itinerary 34 klms long to the northwest of Orestiada leads us to the village of Kiprinos. The unique natural beauty of the region, the cultural rites and customs and the local traditions offer the potential of an alternative tourism focusing on eco-tourism, cultural tourism and educational tourism.

In the course of the latter, it is worth visiting the Municipal Library of Kiprinos, which possesses 22000 books. The library is located within the building of the old primary school, one of the first buildings of the village, which, until 1931, was located at another site, but was transplanted to the present location after the destructive flood of the river Ardas. The building presents a special architectural and morphological interest. It is a two-storeyed building, made of stone, with a rectangular plan, a harmonious volume and interesting details.

Various events focusing on local customs and rites, which often take place in the surrounding area of the library, specially arranged for these purposes, will remain unforgettable to all those who are lucky enough to attend and enjoy the uniqueness of local hospitality.
